Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage

We are hiring an Assistant Manager – F& B for a leading hotel in Wattala.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Basic Salary: LKR 140,000 – 160,000 per month
• Service Charge: Approximately LKR 35,000 – 45,000 per month
• Accommodation: Provided by the hotel
• Additional benefits in accordance with hotel policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the F&B Manager in managing day-to-day Food & Beverage operations.
• Supervise and guide F&B staff to ensure efficient and professional service.
• Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction, service quality and hygiene.
• Monitor restaurant, banquet and other F&B operations.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping and other departments.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve operational issues professionally.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance monitoring.
• Monitor stock, wastage, cost control and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support the F&B Manager in achieving departmental revenue and service targets.
• Take charge of F&B operations in the absence of the F&B Manager.

Candidate Profile

• Male, preferably below 50 years.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position/capacity within a hotel, resort or hospitality environment.
• Experience in a star-class hotel will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, restaurant and banquet service.
• Good leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English.
• Customer-focused, energetic and professionally presented.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage shifts effectively.
• Hotel Management qualification/diploma will be an added advantage.
