Description
About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to support sourcing and procurement activities within the apparel industry. This role plays a critical part in ensuring trims and accessories are procured on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while working closely with internal teams and suppliers.
Duties
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery to prevent production delays
- Source, evaluate, and procure trims and accessories according to approved BOMs
- Follow up on shortages, damages, and quality issues and resolve promptly
- Coordinate closely with merchandising, production, and quality assurance teams
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience purchasing trims and accessories in the apparel industry
- Strong knowledge of garment trims, accessories, and supplier networks (local & international)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
