Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Location: Flexible (with possible travel across Link4 regions)
Role Purpose
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for ensuring Link4 executes consistently,
efficiently, and at scale across all regions. The role focuses on turning strategy into action,
improving operational discipline, and driving accountability across commercial, delivery,
support, and people functions.
Technology remains under the CTO. Financial oversight remains with the CEO. The COO’s
mandate is execution, performance, and operational clarity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Execution
- Own day-to-day operational performance across sales operations, delivery, customer success, support, and people operations.
- Ensure consistent operating models, processes, and standards across all countries and entities.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and remove friction that slows execution or impacts customer outcomes.
- Commercial & Delivery Alignment
- Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Delivery to ensure deals can be
implemented and supported profitably and on time.
- Improve handover, onboarding, and delivery predictability as sales volumes increase.
- Ensure customer commitments are realistic, scalable, and repeatable.
People, Performance & Accountability
- Lead and manage Heads of Department and regional leads (excluding Finance and
- Technology).
- Establish clear KPIs, ownership, and performance expectations across teams.
- Address under-performance decisively and build a culture of accountability, clarity,and ownership.
- Act as the senior operational leader in regions when the CEO is not present.
- Scaling & International Operations
- Support international expansion by standardising how new markets are launched and
operated.
- Ensure regional teams operate consistently while allowing for local market
differences.
- Improve cross-region coordination between sales, delivery, support, and product
teams.
- Governance & Risk (Operational)
- Ensure operational compliance with internal policies, certifications, and customer obligations.
- Surface operational risks early and propose pragmatic mitigation plans.
- Provide the CEO with clear, concise operational reporting and decision support.
Skills & Experience
Required
- Senior operational leadership experience (COO, Head of Operations, or equivalent)
- Strong background in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology-enabled
services
- Proven ability to scale teams and operations across multiple geographies
- Experience managing managers and holding leaders accountable
- Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, resource-conscious environment
Highly Regarded
- Experience in regulated, compliance-heavy, or government-adjacent markets
- Exposure to Asia-Pacific and/or EMEA operating environments
- Background in companies transitioning from founder-led execution to structured
scale
